Have you ever tried meditating? You might think that it means sitting still for hours on end. In fact, you can meditate anywhere, anytime, in as little as two minutes. The benefits of meditation are well-established. It can improve your focus, sleep, and memory, and help reduce anxiety. It’s also good for your immune system, which means it can help you stay healthy. And it’s easy! Here’s how to get started.

1. Set a timer for two minutes.

2. Find a comfortable sitting position where you can relax your arms and legs. Close your eyes.

3. Take a deep breath in. Feel the air coming in through your nose. Notice your stomach expanding as the air fills your lungs.

4. Exhale. Feel the air leaving your nostrils as your lungs empty.

5. Continue to focus on your breathing until the timer goes off. Notice the sense of relaxation moving down through your body. If stray thoughts come up, gently return your attention to your breathing.
